Dining Room: New Paint & Frames {NINA}

Everyone knows we’re photographers.  We’re supposed to have photos up everywhere in our house.  Ummm…not these photographers.  We hate to admit it, but we literally didn’t have any pictures up in our house.  Don’t get us wrong we take TONS of pictures of our kids & family, but it’s usually just stored in our hard drives.  Maybe it’s like a chef ordering takeout after work or a professional organizer having a messy house.  It doesn’t make sense huh?!  We should be printing them and showing them all off!   We just get so darn busy though and even just picking out pictures and ordering them is already time consuming!

Cecilia had been living in her house (before they moved) for about 3 years until she finally put pictures up last year.  Click here to see what she did.

Well the time has come, that my house needed some major changes.  We’ve been living in our house for 7 years.  The red paint just wasn’t cutting it for me anymore.  Therefore, first on the list was new paint!  I had asked Cecilia for her interior design skills.  I’m the type of person that gets a bit overwhelmed picking anything out for the house so I literally told Cecilia to just pick whatever you think works and I’ll buy it.   I liked the sea green color so she picked the perfect color for accent walls for the dining room and living room and a paint color for the rest of the walls.  I then showed her this image on pinterest below of what I wanted to do in the dining room (similar to what Cecilia had done).  Cecilia picked out some frames from Ikea.  I originally wanted to do 3 rows like the image below, but she convinced me that since I’ll have my kitchen table right next to it, that I should just do 2 rows instead.  I’m glad I listened to the expert. 😉  I’m sure she’s glad she can still apply some of her skills from her 4 years studying interior design!

HERE IT IS!  I’m so so happy with how it looks. 🙂
